Hoops Never Sleeps have partnered with VENOA to introduce to you a 6 week workshop aimed at extending the life and richness of your game.
Our intention for this 6 week intimate workshop is to > Provide athletes with information and training so that they may then discern what is best for them. > Support athletes to better understand their body. > Identify and provide tips that will help athletes accelerate in specific areas that require the most work. > Improve one's mindset by setting and reaching personal goals.
Over the course of 6 weeks we will cover > Film study. How to read and understand footage. > Recovery. What happens after you workout. > Other Workouts. The benefits of doing other trainings. > Pre-season and In-season. Prepare the right way for the right time. > Game Day. Preparation, mind-set and nutrition for peak performance. > Being part of a team. When to lead, when to be led. > State of mind. Thoughts create your reality. What your mental state means for your experience.
How the program works > We meet fortnightly, on a Saturday for 2.5 hours. > We spend 1.5-2 hours on-court work and 30 mins-1 hour in the class room/recovery area. > The program is limited to 12 places, to ensure your teachers can focus on each athlete. > We provide an additional 3 places to select athletes who are on scholarship with the Venoa Training Program. > Dates and Costs outlined below.
Course Content > Week 1 - Phase 1 : The State of Mind overview : a guide through the workshop, goal setting, nutrition, trainings.
> Week 2 - Phase 1 : The State of Mind overview : the difference between being injured and being hurt, building consistency through repitition, game day.
> Week 3 - Phase 2 : My Body is a Temple overview : revisit goals, what is a system, film study
> Week 4 - Phase 2 : My Body is a Temple overview : other sports/other disciplines, off-season training, seasonal training.
> Week 5 - Phase 3 : The Soul of Basketball overview : emotion, being part of a team, generosity and gratitude, life balance.
> Week 6 : Phase 3 : The Soul of Basketball overview : testing for nutrition, film studies and physical. Goal revisit and renewal.

Who should attend? > This workshop is for those players who are interested in taking a holistic approach to their basketball development. > You are aware that your mental, physical and emotional status play an equal role in how you experience yourself in the game. > You are open to learning and trusting the process.
