A mixed class for men and women to get involved in basketball and learn how to play together.
Morning Hoops classes are 60 and 90 minute basketball orientated workouts and we invite participants of any skill or fitness level to come along and have a go.
We add music to the mix as we take you on a basketball journey through the FUNdamentals of our sport.
You need not know everything or even anything about basketball, just bring your eagerness to learn and your friendly attitude and you will fit in just fine.
Our programmes are designed to develop sport-specific skills, improve fitness, flexibility, enhance your communication, and of course have loads of fun!
To ensure we are covering the key fundamental areas of our sport, we have developed a 12 week programme..
Week 1. HP Stations/Workout all areas
Week 2. Footwork
Week 3. Ball-Handling
Week 4. Passing & Cutting
Week 5. HP Stations/Workout all areas
Week 6. Shooting
Week 7. Defense
Week 8. Spacing & Getting open
Week 9. HP Stations/Workout all areas
Week 10. Early Transition
Week 11. Moving without the ball
Week 12. Attacking & Individual Offense
* You can join in at any time, you do not need to wait to start on week 1. We are teaching a theme each week so that all classes align to a common outcome. Obviously the more you come the more the pieces of the puzzle will come together!
Fridays 60 minutes
Level : Mixed (Beginner/Transitional)
Time : 7am - 8am
Casual : $20
10 Visit Pass : $180 (12 months validity)
Saturdays 90 minutes
Level : Mixed (Beginner/Transitional)*
Time : 9am - 10.30am
Casual : $25
10 Visit Pass : $200 (12 months validity)
*From September 2018, Saturday Morning Hoops will be split into 2 levels, a Beginner class and a Transitional class. At the moment the time will remain the same but we are also looking at running 2 separate session times, depending on court availability.
